INTERIOR
All seating remains in excellent order throughout, with the electrically operated adjustments operating as intended. Dark Marine Blue carpets, both front and rear original and in excellent condition. The car is still fitted with its original Blaupunkt radio/ cassette player and the rest of the interior is in impeccable condition, with immaculate door cards and carpets all in dark marine blue leather. The leather seats are in great condition little signs of age, rips, cracking, or stains and with their figure-hugging shape they are amazingly comfortable on longer drives.

EXTERIOR
Since 1964 the exterior form and shape of the 911 have never changed dramatically from generation to generation. It is thanks to this simple design philosophy that has helped build 911 into the icon that it is today. The exterior of this specific 911 Carrera Targa is truly in great condition, all the panels are straight showing no signs of any damage, all of the trim is correct and present and the instantly recognisable Fuchs alloys are also in great condition. There are some scratches on the paintwork commensurate with its age and the fact that this is a classic that is used on a regular basis.
With the top in place, it looks as good as the next 911, however, once you remove the Targa top it transforms this car into a great summer grand tourer. To help enhance the simple and timeless lines of the 911 the current owner has removed the big, over-the-top ‘whale-tail’ spoiler. The original whale-tail will come with the car if the new owner should want to re-install it to give it a different, but equally good look.

Overall, the exterior of the 911 Targa is in glorious condition and will never fail to turn a head or ten!!

THE DRIVE & ENGINE

Not super-fast, by modern standards, but far more engaging, direct and enjoyable than the majority of current fare on offer.
While swift enough with 231 bhp on tap, it’s more about the total and complete experience, hard to explain to the un-initiated, but profoundly addictive, be warned!!.
From the moment you open the door, even the smell; you could only be in a 911. The flat six, horizontally opposed 3. 2, barks into life, then settles. A slight whiff from the spent exhaust gases, first is then easily engaged, thanks to the superior 5 speed G50 gearbox.
Eagerly press on through all gears without any drama, the clutch, brakes and steering all combine to deliver one of the best drives in motoring, you can just relish the next series of bends.
The Targa top is simply removed and can be stowed in front bonnet, (or behind the front seats if preferred).
This totally transforms the whole car, the only real way to truly enjoy your 911 Targa.
